Greetings... On Sunday mornings we are focusing upon the central story line of the Bible. We’re trying to trace out the big picture of the whole Bible is by looking at Genesis 1-4, learn how the world was made, and ruined, then going to Romans 1-4, seeing what God did about it. Then, turning to Revelation 18-21, we're going to see how God's divine story plays out in the end.
Welcome to Lawrence 360 Church
Thank you for visiting 360° Church's Website. Church can be an intimidating place to visit — especially if you don’t know what to expect. We invite you to experience what the gospel means both intellectually and relationally at one of our Sunday worship services. You can engage with others as much as you want, or remain anonymous if you prefer.
We desire to be “a church not for ourselves.” This means we place the highest importance on the needs of those outside our church, over our own comfort and preferences. It means we desire to serve our neighbors as much as each other. Lawrence is transitioning from a small town mindset to recognizing its role as a city. According to sciptures, cities are the best place to serve God and love your neighbor, and 360° Church seeks to live out the love, hope and joy of the gospel in every neighborhood in order to see the Lawrence flourish.
The saying goes, “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.” it can be a challenge meeting and getting to know others — to feel like you’re truly part of the church community. We encourage everyone to form meaningful relationships with others by doing the following: allow 360° church congregation to be your home, get into a Life or Community Group, find a team or ministry where you can regularly serve with others, and be in conversations with your friends about what the gospel means to you.
Do you have doubts about Christianity? Or would you like to learn more about a particular area of spiritual development? Here you can find resources that present 360°vision and values, address doubts and questions about Christianity by email and discover resources available to offer ways to understand a theological or biblical question, and guide you toward growth in your spiritual life.
We hope that through visiting with us, you will experience the hope, love and joy that comes from a community of people who love Jesus.
Lead Pastors' Rick and Monica Burwick
Left to Right Officer Scott White - KTA Officer - Kansas Turnpike Authority, Officer Paul Taylor, Administrative Training Officer and Chaplain for Douglas County Sheriff's Department, Kresten Spurling and Bronson Star - Lawrence Police Department. In far upper left, we have Federal Marshall Jim Hall, and not pictured Ronnie Barnhardt, also a Federal Marshall for the Kansas Judicial Courts, Topeka, KS.
Following the 4th of July weekend, and all the negative news about police officers and their mistreatment of African-Americans that we're either suspect for crimes, or offenders of the law in some form, one of our worship team members, and leader of Men's ministry, Robert Starr mention to myself, Kofi and some of the others of the worship team that we should do something to represent all the different people groups of 360 Church and invite the Douglas County Sheriff's Department, Lawrence Police Department, KTA and other state law enforcement officers to honor their protective efforts for Lawrence, Douglas County and the surrounding area.
Those listed above volunteered from their respective areas and joined us at 11:30 am on July 31st, 2016 for this special time. As we honored each of them listed above, Pastor Rick Burwick shared with them that each department each day was being prayed for, and we as an international church wanted to recognize them for their impartiality among the 107 different nationalities that live in and around Lawrence; and express our appreciation for them.
The 360 Church family gave them a standing ovation, gathered together to pray for them, their families, and their departments, then with exhilaration posed for the group picture.
Lawrence 360 Church is proud of our officers, Federal Marshall's, KTA officers, with and including the Fire Departments (who will be invited at a later date) of Lawrence and Douglas county and all the support people that work together for the safety of all of us who live in the surrounding area.
